Advanced Security Training (AST) is provided by an instructor approved by JIBC who is required to follow the training standards for the security industry as outlined in the BC Security Services Act. Course Sections 4, 5, and 6 are hands-on for which the students will have to be able to safely and effectively demonstrate the use of the techniques involved in the program to a level of competency assessed by the Instructor.

To qualify for an AST certificate, participants must attend ALL training sessions and successfully complete the learner assessment activities.
